Hidden Splendour

This essence is an invitation to connect with and embrace our inherent beauty and uniqueness. In this sense it is very much connected with the third chakra, the chakra of personal power, of individuality, of how we express and present ourselves in the world.

We are all absolutely unique expressions and manifestations of the Universal Energy. Never before has there been someone quite like us and there never will be again. Existence is so generous and so creative - not even two blades of grass are exactly the same. This must mean that Existence needs us exactly the way we are. Not to live, embrace and express this uniqueness means that Existence will be that much poorer.

Hidden Splendor connects us with the uniqueness that we are as individuals on the planet at this moment. It helps us to fully embrace all aspects of our personality, the darkness, the shadow side as well as the light.

All our lives we have been taught how we should be, and how to behave. That only some aspects of our behaviour are acceptable, whilst others are not. Fundamentally we have been told we are not all right as we are, we should be like someone else. As a result we develop an image, a personality that we present to the world, and over the years we refine and crystallise this image depending on what we find works for us and gets us the approval and love that we want.

This means however that we suppress all those aspects of ourselves which we have been told are not ok, that are not acceptable in the world, and don't get us the acceptance we crave. These energies don't go away, they simply go underground and are locked in our unconscious and different parts of our body.

It takes a tremendous amount of energy to maintain this juggling act - to keep up the "shining" face and lock up the "ugly" face. As a result there is very little energy left to support and nourish who we really are - the unique individual that Existence has created. And so we limp through life – a half-hearted affair.

Hidden Splendor provokes us to reclaim the dignity of our uniqueness, to live it and celebrate it. To feel and act from the authority and certainty that comes from being ourselves. Such a person radiates a luminous glow and others are immediately attracted to them, as it reminds them also of the grandeur and beauty of their own being.
